After Fortnite ban, iPhones with the game pre-installed are selling for thousands

If you’re following the entire App Store antitrust fiasco that Apple is facing, you may know that recently “Fortnite” developers, Epic Games, sued Apple for their App Store policies. The game company sued after Apple and Google removed “Fortnite” from their respective digital markets. Now, people are setting up their “Fortnite” selling iPhones for a hefty Rs.

Seen by people at iMore, a simple search on eBay brings some listings of iPhones with “Fortnite” with an asking price of $ 10,000 (~ Rs 7,48,014)! Yes, you read that right.

Therefore, after the game was dropped by the Cupertino-based tech giant, people started listing iPhones that Fortnite already has. A search on the C2C buy / sell platform reveals some lists of “Fortnite” -installed iPhones for different prices.

There is a black iPhone 11 sold for $ 1,300 (~ 97,240) with “Fournite” which seems normal in this context. However, it is a 64GB model that retails for around $ 699 (~ Rs 52,286). Then there is a 256 GB iPhone 8 with “Fortnite” which comes in at $ 5,000 (~ 3,74,007). And then comes one with a crazy $ 10,000 price tag.

Now, it is useless to say that getting one of these is pointless. This is because you are not getting any updates for the game. And we all know that Epic Roll updates for “Fortnite”, often to add various events, emotions, or cosmetic items.

Furthermore, it has also not been confirmed that “Fortnite” has departed from digital markets for good. So, for those who are selling these already expensive devices for modest prices, good luck finding a buyer!
