All rumors are true. the India company Samsung today announced that its next Galaxy Unpacked event which is heald to be on August 5. This is where the Korean giants are expected to take raps from their next flagship Galaxy Note 20 series. The Galaxy Unpacked phenomenon is usually a large-scale affair but the COVID-19 epidemic also forces Samsung to opt for the virtual setting this time.
Samsung discontinued the Galaxy S20 series and its first clamshell foldable, Galaxy Z Flip, at an Unpacked event earlier this year. The August event will not only unveil the Galaxy Note 20 series to the company. It is rumored that the Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Fold 2, along with the 5G version of Galaxy Buds Live, and perhaps most of all, the Galaxy Watch 3 as well.
The teaser confirms that the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will indeed launch in a new Mystic Bronze colorway. It was accidentally revealed by Samsung on a Russian website over the weekend. You can picture the S-Pen in this color in the teaser video below.
Galaxy Note 20 Rumored Specs
We have already heard a lot about the upcoming Galaxy Note 20 variants – the highest-end Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Real-life images of the device also appeared online earlier this week, confirming designs, cameras, and more.
The Galaxy Note 20 series will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 Plus, which is a given. This means that you will get 5G connectivity in all variants. Here you will also get 16GB RAM and 512GB built-in storage.
The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will come with the largest 6.9-inch WQHD + (2960 x 1440) AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate on the front. It will be curved on both sides, with minimal bezels and a small punch hole for the selfie camera. Other Note 20 variants are rumored to include a standard FullHD + 60Hz panel, which I find to be very low.

Turning our attention backward, you can see that the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will come with a quad-camera system. Details on the sensor are sparse, but I think it would involve primary sensor similar 108MP Galaxy S20 Ultra. An ultra-wide camera, a periscope camera (minus 100x Space zoom feature in the device), and will also provide a 3D ToF sensor.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G has recently been featured on its pattern by trusted tipster Evan Blass (better known as Exclusive) in a leak. You can support it and see the render right here. Overall, Samsung will unveil several new phones and accessories in the Aug. 5 (7:30 PM IST / 10:00 AM ET) Event. Stay tuned for our live coverage.
