Ending the stream of leaks and teasers, Asus has finally revealed its latest flagship smartphones – the ZenFone 7 and ZenFone 7 Pro. He is the successor to the company’s wild motorized flip camera phone, ZenFone 6 (or Asus 6z in India). It brings the same design, an advanced flip camera module with three sensors, and the latest Snapdragon 865 chipset in tow.

Zenfone 7 Pro
The ZenFone 7 Pro features a clean design similar to its predecessor. At the front, you get a fullscreen bezel-less display and a motorized flip camera system at the rear. It’s just that the flip camera module is now slightly larger and has an additional sensor.
The smartphone has a 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10 + certification and Delta E <1. Has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display. You get a fullscreen bezel-less panel here, with no notch or punch-hole onboard, similar to your predecessor. Although you have an AMOLED display in tow here, the ZenFone 7 Pro includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor that also doubles as a power button.
Under the hood, the Zenfone 7 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 865+ chipset – consistent with rumors. You have LPDDR5 RAM up to 8GB and UFS 3.1 storage onboard up to 256GB. It runs ZenUI 7 based on Android 10 out-of-the-box.
The highlight of the ZenFone 7 Pro will be the triple flip camera setup on the rear. It includes a primary 64MP (f / 1.8) Sony IMX686 sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultra wide lens (Sony IMX363 sensor) and a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The telephoto camera supports OIS and up to 12x digital zoom capability.
It is one of the most versatile camera setups, especially since it can also be used to take some stunning selfies. Asus again lets you adjust the angle at which you want to use the ZenFone 7’s flip camera, which is great for getting a few different style shots into the yes mix. It offers you 4K @ 60fps, 8K @ 30fps video recording capabilities as well as Hyper Steady mode for static video capture.
ZenFone 7 Pro is equipped with a large 5,000mAh battery with 30W charging support via USB Type-C port on board. Asus claims that you can extract 60% of the battery juice in about 35 minutes.
Zenphone 7
The Zenfone 7 doesn’t have much to talk about as it is exactly the same smartphone as the Vanilla Snapdragon 865 chipset instead of the overclocked 865+ variant. The display, previously rumored to be an LCD one, also has a 90Hz AMOLED panel as the Pro version.
Except for the chipset, everything remains exactly the same, including the camera, battery and hardware. Neither of you can be wrong either.
Price and availability
The 6GB + 128GB base variant of ZenFone 7 is priced at NT $ 21,990 (~ Rs 55,699) while the 8GB + 128GB variant is priced at NT $ 23,990 (~ Rs 60,799) in Taiwan.
ZenFone 7 Pro comes in a single 8GB + 256GB variant priced at NT $ 27,9,9 (~ Rs 70,899) in Taiwan. The company will first bring ZenFone 7 in India as Asus 7z. We expect its price to be slightly lower than the device’s exorbitant prices in our country (possibly due to higher taxes).
