Instagram has launched a wide range of new phones on Instagram Stories. The company is testing these new fonts with a small percentage of people from the last week of April.
The appeal for these new fonts will undoubtedly vary depending on the age group you are in. However, if you’re into some fancy fonts, here’s how you can use them on Instagram Stories.
First, open the Instagram app and go to the ‘open create’ section. As you begin typing your desired text, you will see a horizontal scroll list of fonts at the bottom. To be specific, there will be a total of nine fonts, including the existing ones.
It is worth noting that you will not be able to set different fonts for different words in the same sentence. If you try to do this even after selecting a specific word, the app will change the font for the entire line. Instead, you can make it like a single sentence by adding each word as separate sentences and adding them together.
I have you covered, wondering what each font looks like. I typed the word out of all the available fonts, which you can see in the image below. This should give you a rough idea of what to expect.
Interestingly, Instagram has decided to include fonts like Comic Sans in its font collection. You may or may not be a fan of this font, depending on your views towards Comic Sans, but many people are expressing their disapproval on Twitter.
Your Instagram app will probably have these fonts by now. If you are not watching them, make sure the app is updated to the latest version available on the App Store or Google Play Store.
