Leaked Galaxy Z Fold 2 Render Reveals Display, Camera

A Weibo user has leaked an alleged render of Samsung’s upcoming foldable phone – the Galaxy Z Fold 2. Yes, Render has repeated the rumor that it has been claimed that Samsung will adopt the Z branding to launch the next-gen Galaxy Fold as the Galaxy Z Fold 2.

After initially making a spot on Weibo, the trusted tipster Ice Universe reshared the leaked image on Twitter. Leicester initially shared an extremely blurry image, with the improved version just hours later.

The most noticeable aspect of the leaked image is the camera. According to the image, the camera setup of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 will be the same as expected on the Galaxy Note 20. Unfortunately, the exact set of sensors is not fully visible on the render.

In addition, the render hints at a large cover display. The foldable phone is expected to have a 6.23-inch display with 2267 x 819 pixel resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. This would be a significant improvement compared to the 4.6-inch display seen on the original Galaxy fold.

There is another clear trend in terms of color. Like the Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Watch 3 and Galaxy Buds Live, Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 2 in a Mystic Bronze color variant. There is no information about other color types.

Samsung’s first foray into the Galaxy fold has not met expectations due to durability issues. Many reviewers saw the performance breaking smoothly, which led to the company postponing the launch. The reworked version of Galaxy Fold does not survive well either.

Rejecting all previous rumors, Samsung recently confirmed its plans to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 2 alongside the Galaxy Note 20 at its unpacked event on 5 August. We will learn more information about this incident, and so, stay tuned for updates.
