OnePlus has worked on his new upcoming lineup series of smart TVs. The oneplus company has recently launched three new TVs that should give Xiaomi, TCL, and VU a run for their money. For the 55-inch model, the ‘flagship’ OnePlus TV U is available at a hefty INR 49,999 (US $ 670), while the more ‘entry-level’ OnePlus TV Y is priced at INR 22,999 (US $ 307) and INR 12,999 (US $ 173) is. 43 inch and 32-inch versions respectively. OnePlus TV U is one step below the company’s current OnePlus TV Q Smart TV. However, it comes with 55-inch screen size and 4K display resolution, but skips over the QLED panel. It is compatible with HDR 10, HDR 10+, and HLC standards. OnePlus claims that TV covers 93% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, which is quite impressive for TVs at that price point. It also comes with a MEMC chip, noise reduction, dynamic contrast, color space mapping, and OnePlus’ proprietary Gamma Color Magic chip. TV sports razor-thin bezels and has a 95% screen-to-body ratio. The audio is taken care of by four 30W speakers with Dolby Atmos.

The OnePlus TV Y Series lacks a few bells and whistles for its 4K-ready sibling. For starters, the display resolution is 1080p for the maximum 43-inch model and 720p for the 32-inch version. Additionally, both TVs come with 20W speakers. However, they retain the gamma color magic chip of OnePlus.

OnePlus Series Y and Series U Smart TVs run Android 9.0 Pie out of the box, allowing users to download the app from the Google Play store. All three TVs are pre-loaded with popular streaming apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hotstar, Zee5, and more. It also comes with a load of OnePlus-specific apps such as OnePlus Connect, allowing you to control your TV using a smartphone. One can also issue voice commands on the TV using Google Assistant and Alexa.
