OnePlus 8, 8 Pro Get New Security Patch with Bug Fixes

OnePlus has announced the roll-out of the August 2020 security update for its current flagship, the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. The new update does not bring new features but focuses on optimizing and fixing bugs in previous versions of the operating system.

Among the fixes, there are improvements to some media and processor frameworks, along with OnePlus’s front-facing camera and ambient upgrades. After the OnePlus 8 series of phones, the OnePlus 7 / 7T series is also expected to get this update later this month. Changelog says that there are some stability improvements and other minor bug fixes are also in order.

Talking about the phone that this new update is being extended, the OnePlus 8 series brings two phones with them. Of the two, the OnePlus 8’s 6 + 128 RAM and storage variant is available exclusively through Amazon in the Glacial Green version. The variant is priced at Rs 41,999.

OnePlus 8’s 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variants are available in Onex Black and Glacial Green colors. The variant has been priced at Rs 44,999 and will be for purchase from all online and offline channels.

Coming with the OnePlus 8 Pro, the phone is available in two memory and storage variants, with the entry-level 8GB + 128GB being sold online and on the offline channel in Onex Black and Glacial Green color at a price of Rs 54,999. The high-end variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs 59,999. The variants have been announced to be available in Onex Black, Glacial Green, and Ultramarine Blue through all channels online and offline.

For the price, both phones get really impressive specs, including Qualcomm’s most powerful chipset, the Snapdragon 865 SoC, which the company has paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage depending on your model and type of choice. Both phones are 5G ready and announced to support equally in all regions, where the device can find a related network.
