After a long series of leaks, rumors, and reports, Samsung has finally launched the brand new Galaxy Watch 3 today, and the leak was fairly accurate.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 Display
The new watch looks like the original Galaxy Watch, complete with a physical rotating bezel that is a fan favorite. There are two other buttons on the side to round off the design of the new Galaxy Watch 3. Samsung claims that the new watch is thinner and lighter than the OG Galaxy Watch while extending the screen to 1.4 inches.
The Galaxy Watch 3 will be available in two sizes – both 41mm and 45mm are available with Bluetooth and LTE options. The watch will be available in a total of four colors, but both sizes are limited to two colors. The smaller, 41 mm watch will have a 1.2-inch screen, while the larger 45 mm watch will come with a 1.4-inch display. It also uses Corning Gorilla Glass DX to prevent scratches and cracks.
Under the hood, there is an Exynos 9110 processor with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB onboard storage. The watch runs Tizen OS as expected, and uses Bluetooth 5.0 with WiFi 5.0 / g / n connectivity. LTE models will also be available as stated earlier.
Samsung is also heavily focused on health and fitness facilities. Watch 3 will come with blood pressure and ECG measurements along with blood oxygen measurements. However, BP and ECG facilities will be limited to markets where the watch has passed the required certifications. In addition, the Galaxy Watch3 also comes with fall detection, similar to the Apple Watch, which can detect falls and send SOS messages to select contacts.
Watch 3 also comes with an ongoing analysis that will give you real-time feedback on the run and even reported post-workout to help you improve form, enhance performance, and reduce injuries will offer. Watch 3 will also offer VO2 Max readings for cardio workouts, and the new Samsung Health app will feature a library of over 120 workout videos that can track the watch properly.
